Revisiting Rocky Mountain National Park
Today we spent the day hiking around Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a fun day of hiking and enjoying nature. I’m trying out another Substack image gallery with 9 photos of the park. We were able to snag a park pass the day before at 7:00 p.m. mountain time. They release a few passes that go within about 90 seconds of being released. It is pretty easy to use the Rocky Mountain National Park Timed Entry system. It works ahead of time or the day before if you are willing to chance it. My suggestion is to watch your clock and refresh your internet browser at exactly 7:00 p.m. and click as fast as you are able to click on the date followed by the time slot you want. I have done this on two separate occasions and it works out well enough. You have just over a minute to make your selection and get things done. This time around I selected the Bear Lake Road option which is very important if you are making a reservation to visit the national park. Most of the best trails and lake viewing are just off the Bear Lake Road trailhead area.
