Figuring out YouTube Music
I went to go install the YouTube Music app on my MacBook Air. To my surprise, I got a message that, “This app is available only on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.” Which meant that I’m going to have to use the browser version of YouTube Music to play high-quality audio back to my Audioengine speakers. The pairing between my speakers and the MacBook has actually worked really well and has been very stable. Naturally, I went out and found the remastered version of Master of Puppets and started to play the album. I have the vinyl record version of that album. The online version has a bunch of extra songs included. Like the list has 32 tracks. That sometimes works out well as it is fun to listen to different versions, drafts, or maybe even tape demos. Sometimes it is fun to just dig into an album and just enjoy the overall experience. That is one of the things that is completely lost in the streaming experience that is all single-serving song-based followed up by a recommendation. Concerts are awesome, and sometimes getting a full album worth of content is just a better experience.
