All that brittle complexity never abides

All the hockey that was going to happen as a part of the last season is now done. The Stanley Cup finals are now over. A team from Florida won. Hockey has happened. I will, however, have a subscription to HBO Max for the better part of the next month. That was the cost of watching some playoff hockey this year. I had to buy into a streaming service to make it happen. I really thought this year the Oilers would maybe do more than they did during the Stanley Cup. None of that hockey stopped me from wondering about how people allow complexity to create brittleness to process, code, or other frameworks. They very quickly forget or are just too green to understand that all that brittle complexity never abides. We wage a war of completeness and efficiency that never really ends. Introducing brittleness is just a recipe for future problems.

We have not reached the offseason in the world of hockey, which is always full of rumors and specious speculation. I’m already invested in the next Colorado Avalanche season with a partial season ticket package. We will see if they offer up the Altitude+ subscription to watch games again or what ends up being the best way to watch all the games. The next season has a lot of hope and potential. We will see what happens, but the season always starts with a lot of optimism.
