All that Blu-ray fun
Today I spent some time watching the Luna Park Blu-ray from Dream Theater, and then I flipped back to some Stargate SG-1. It’s one of those days where some progressive metal music is in order. My collection of Blu-ray discs is still pretty darn good, considering that as a medium people are buying fewer of them, and some projects don’t even have them anymore. It will be interesting to see what happens to the medium going forward. Things sort of stalled out at 4K, and nothing beyond that has really become popular. Vinyl has had a resurgence, but regular CDs, cassettes, VHS, and a few other form factors like the HD DVD just fell out of the public mind. All that material just ended up separated from common usage. Some of it is on eBay and other auction sites, but for the most part, it just keeps slowly disappearing.
