The remaing chapters are not going to write themselves. Sometimes it is easier to work at the outline level. If the mood is not right or I’m not feeling it, then I don’t seem to write. It is pretty much feast or famine at this point. For the next 30 days my lunch hours may need to be devoted to writing or annotated outlining. I may even need to start blocking off 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm everyday to write. Now is the time to put in the work.
Custom model development could take the form of implementation or consulting. Moving between the two modes creates unique challenges. The model is the model, but the way it is rolled out could be specific to the implementing organizations. The chapter on implementation may need to be expanded into multiple chapters. Right now it is basically four chapters shoehorned into one awesome pile of epic prose.
The pitch still needs some work. At this point, the elevator pitch is easy to deliver. Delivering the detailed pitch remains problematic. Everybody has such different levels of comfort with mathematics. The pitch pretty much has to be customized to the audience. Eventually, I will be able to deliver the pitch in an elegant enough way that it will work for a variety of audiences.
