Xbox One Support

I was truly excited about purchasing an Xbox One gaming system. The last gaming system I purchased was a PS3 (when they first came out). Getting the system connected to my wireless network took a few minutes. I managed to initiate downloads of Titanfall, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, and Assassin’s Creed Unity. After a few hours, I just let the downloading files run overnight. This morning everything was all setup. I watched the trailer for Titanfall. The game could not connect to any of the data centers. A quick check of the network connection unlocked the following clues from the Xbox One system, “Your network is good but Xbox live is not” and “Sorry, there’s a problem on our side. We’re working on it. Online features will come back in awhile.” You can imagine my extreme displeasure at having purchased a gaming system and a game that simply did not work.

Apparently, I’m one of the users who are getting a, “Can’t get a Teredo IP Address” message. I tried to reach out to Xbox support via Twitter. I had heard good things about that method of support. I’m going to try to call support again in a few minutes. Microsoft support needs to step up its game. I’m shocked the box shipped without some type of troubleshooting materials for getting connected.

Update: I ended up having to purchase a new wireless router to fix the problem.
