The weekend is here. That is very welcome news. Earlier this week a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) was ordered. It arrived today. My interests have turned to audio equipment. I’m not sure how that happened. James thought it all was derived from my want to listen to classic Warren Zevon records on vinyl. That might be part of the equation or it could be completely of base. Based on some basic online research, I ordered the Audio Engine D1 premium 24-bit DAC. It was pretty easy to setup. A Windows 8 program was able to locate the drivers almost instantly. Right now the DAC is plugged into my old JBL speakers. I’m working on a simple audio setup that will eventually involve a set of speakers and turntable in my office.
