After 10 years, I finally upgraded my Lian Li PC-343 modular aluminum cube case. That case has been housing a data crunching computer pretty much nonstop since 2002. Not a bad run for an aluminum cube. This time around I opted to install what I personally consider a piece of modern computer art. The Cool Master corporation designers put a lot of thought into the Storm Stryker case. People over the last couple of days have universally mocked the older hardware that got installed in the case. For better or worse, I buy a computer part for my dinosaur rig about once a year. Obviously, I did not need to install my “HD DVD” writer in the case, but I considered it for a few minutes.
