Don’t worry or panic about this being Tab 67 in my weblog posts Google Doc. I’m watching the Colorado Avalanche play some hockey tonight and surfing the internet. I just had two shots of espresso and I’m totally ready to watch the entire game. The game is on our main TV thanks to the Altitude+ streaming application they launched this year. During the last game technical problems created a bunch of friction to being able to watch the game. For the most part the streaming service has worked out well enough and it makes it much easier to watch Colorado Avalanche games when the vast majority of them are on the same streaming application. I know where to go and that I just need to configure the settings to keep the stream video quality on the 1080p feed instead of being automatically set. Hockey viewing needs all the possible pixels to make the puck visible and easy to follow.

Tonight I’m watching the United States vs. Canada hockey match being held in Boston, Massachusetts. Oddly enough my YouTube TV subscription expired today, but the game is actually on the Disney+ service somehow tonight which is awesome. You might recall that based on the Kansas Jayhawks basketball schedule it seemed like a good idea to purchase a month of YouTube TV. It was not a good month of basketball for Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks. It was really a terrible, horrible, generally not good month of basketball. We are midway into the first period so far and the streaming feed has been pretty good quality which is nice. That is powered by my new streaming box. I got one of the Google TV Streamer (4K) boxes and it is connected by ethernet cable to an access point. Overall the streaming bits should be flowing with enough speed to keep the game stable.

I ended up experiencing a weird OneDrive error today, “onedrive: sync delay – you may be experiencing a temporary sync delay due to high service activity.” They should not be selling larger storage accounts and extra storage if they are going to throw errors at you for migrating to a new system and having to download again. They should provide some kind of warning or notice based on the size of the transfer. This sort of situation is highly foreseeable, but they have elected to provide no notice or warning. It’s frustrating.

Apparently the shipping team was working extra hard to deliver my new computer case. Earlier today the Dark Base Pro 901 case showed up and they pretty much just stuck a shipping label to it and sent it posthaste. My big plan for the weekend will be to take the case out of the box and really think about what components are going to be a part of this new computer build. At this point in the process the actual part buying will be pretty slow. It will probably be well into next month before a motherboard is selected. That will pretty much drive a lot of the other part selection.

I’m watching the 4 Nation’s Face-Off tonight. We are seeing Sweden and Canada play some hockey to get this tournament started. It’s nice that 3 Colorado Avalanche players are on team Canada which peaks my interest in watching this ice hockey tournament. We still have the YouTube TV subscription from this month related to watching the Kansas Jayhawks play basketball. That makes watching this hockey tournament possible and it helps create more value for that purchase.
