Today still seems somewhat mysterious. The end of the year is approaching. During my trip to the store today people seemed to be really focused. On what I have no idea. A lot of people seem to be on vacation this week. Taking two weeks of vacation has never really been an option. It must be nice to have that much time off. Working in the operations space pretty much limits the amount of vacation anybody can effectively take. Beyond my regular job — teaching online does not really create the possibility of a prolonged vacation. None of my online teaching appointments have included any vacation days. They typically only include break weeks and holidays.
Last night I slept for 10 hours. Unfortunately, that amount of sleep did not make me more productive today. My productivity always seems to rise and fall. It is never consistent. That is probably the way of things.
It seems that ESPN has an endless string of bowl games. Some of them have been good. Most of them do not hold my interest. Temperatures around Denver plunged below zero yesterday. It was bitterly cold. That type of weather is great for writing. I’m thinking about making a cup of coffee with some hot cocoa mix tonight. Most of the hot cocoa mixes seem to contain a lot of sugar. I’m trying to stay away from sugar these days. On December 10, 2014, I instituted a diet soda moratorium. Inadvertently — I actually gave up all soda. It has been about 20 days. It turns out that I don’t need to drink soda.
Coffee is an entirely different vice altogether. Each day seems to have been fueled by at least two cups of coffee. That habit is somewhat costly. We had to pick up some new K-Cups. I enjoy having a wide variety of different coffee K-Cups. A multipack of K-Cups was on sale this week at Costco.
